Fifty years after the outbreak, refugees continue to make their way to the only known safe haven for those infected with the Darwin virus. Brook having just made this treacherous journey is the newest arrival to Dark Paradise. As the ever-unpredictable virus slowly mutates him he begins experiencing visions of past events. Using this new gift, Brook delves into the history of his new home. What he encounters is one of the Dark Paradise’s most tragic love stories.

CHARACTERS
 DestinyDestiny Kline, called DK by many, is a teenage girl living in a poor shanty town on the outskirts of Dark Paradise. Her Darwin virus manifestation has cursed her to live her life completely covered from head to toe in a body suit and glass helmet. DK longs to find someone she can make a real connection with. |  KahoniKahoni is a street thug for a small local gang called the Yellowjackets. Kahoni is slowly making a name for himself within his gang and with their bitter enemy, the Reds. |  BrookBrook is a young man on his way to the only known haven for those infected with the Darwin virus. This deadly virus, in addition to causing small bumps to grow on his arm, has given him visions of past events. Using this curious and unreliable ability, he is able to delve into the history of his new home; Dark Paradise. |

For a steep price, Dark Runners risk their lives to ferry people infected with the virus to the island of Dark Paradise. |  MarcusMarcus is a member of the local Reds gang. He and Kahoni have clashed on several occation as Kahoni continues to enter the Reds territory. |
 StingerStinger is the ruthless leader of the Yellowjackets, and is always looking for ways to oust his bitter rivals, the Reds, from his territory. |
